Pile drilling template Aeolus

Pile drilling template for the Aeolus Van Oord

Commissioned by Hycom, MSA-Service was asked to realise the electrical installation and automation of a pre-drilling template for Van Oord's Aeolus. This template is on board of the offshore installation vessel Aeolus and is used for drilling foundations for offshore wind farms.

For this installation we were allowed to perform the following electrical work:

Engineering:
- Control desk
- 3Kv power container (electric & mechanical)
- Umbilical winch (elektric)
- Subsea power distribution + PLC pod's (elektrical & mechanical)
- Instrumentation / camera systems

This template is a drilling template suitable for underwater positioning of the foundation for an offshore wind turbine.

We were commissioned by Hycom to work on this ingenious offshore equipment. Hycom is a leading specialist in complete hydraulic systems for the offshore industry.
