FRPD 309 works with VisuDredge dredging monitoring system
Fraser River Pile & Dredge in Vancouver has selected MSA-Service to provide VisuDredge, a dredging monitoring software, for their FRPD 309 hopper dredger.
VisuDredge includes the following options:
- Suction Tube Position Monitoring
- Draught & Load monitoring system
- TDS, Tons Dry Solid measurement
- Automated pumpcontrol
- Indicators for Vacuum/pressure and production
- Logging / Dredging status / Trip data
- Connection with Survey (QINSy)
The dredging monitoring software on board this hopper dredger is visualized on 8 industrial PCs.
In addition to supplying the VisuDredge software, MSA-Service also provided the PLC installation (Bachmann). Supplied and installed new draft and suction pipe cabling and sensors. The existing dredge sensors were also calibrated on site for accurate measurement.
"VisuDredge is a modular dredging visualization and control package. The system can be used from a small inland (Cutter) dredger with only depth indication to a big Hopper dredger up to 15 screens and office connections."
